About Terri
Since her high school yearbook days, Terri has been a photographer with a passion for excellence. Beginning in her freshman year, she spent many hours in the darkroom performing her magic with negatives, chemicals, and the photo enlarger. It was the start of a career.
Terri's influences over the past 20 years have been many. Perhaps her brother Mike, who himself is an outstanding photographer and a high school teacher of graphic arts in Oregon, had the first impact in her career. Terri remembers watching him as a young girl as he worked in his darkroom at home. "I will never forget watching Michael putting a negative into the enlarger, dropping the paper into chemicals, and then see a print from last night's football game come to life! I was hooked from that moment on." His encouragement in her early years helped Terri push for the very best angles that told a more complete story.
After she graduated from high school, she participated in the photographic arts program at Spokane Falls Community College. Michael Rojan was one of her professors and a constant encouragement. Another influence was photographer Ross Whitney who met Terri when he needed a wedding photography assistant. Terri assisted Ross throughout the summer of 1982. After she moved to San Diego in 1987, Terri assisted many San Diego photographers in literally hundreds of weddings and portrait sessions, studio production, and a professional photo lab. She has special appreciation for the time she worked with Wendy Porter-Francis (Porter Imagery) and Carol Constantine (Feminine Focus).
As the many testimonial letters will attest, Terri has a special talent in making her subjects feel comfortable and glad they chose her to photograph their special occasion. Specializing in weddings, environmental portraiture, and special events of all kinds, Terri is ready to serve your needs.
Philosophy
There are many choices in photographers out there. Everyone has their own style and way of doing things. Terri has been a professional photographer since 1989 and has watched technology improve the way photographers do things. Hence, most no longer use film and, like Agape Photography, rely on the latest digital equipment. And things are done so much more efficiently on the Internet than requiring clientele to drive back and forth to a studio.
But one thing hasn’t changed with her and that is a personal devotion to making sure you, her client, is the most satisfied customer whom she has ever photographed. Clients have told her that her style has made their day-whether a portrait or a wedding-and that they felt relaxed working with her. (See Testimonials.) She knows that she can do the same for you.
When your "day" is complete, you will have a chance to see your prints on-line and order right on the Internet. For weddings, all your guests will have access to this site using a special "event code" that you will be provided. It’s really quite simple and gives you complete flexibility in ordering. We think you will like the way Agape Photography goes about its business. Please feel free to call and ask for a complimentary consultation with her so you can make the best choice.
We hope to serve you soon!
